Who Selstad Sod Farm is..
Selstad Sod Farm has deep roots in Montana having homesteaded in the Dutton area in 1911. We established the first liquid fertilizer manufacturing plant in Montana in 1954 and started Montana’s first Sod producing farm in 1969, selling to homeowners, landscapers and contractors, providing delivery within a 300 mile radius.
Over the years we have had thousands of satisfied customers as a staple in the community. Our customers are our business and we look forward to providing you “Instant Grassification”.

Our sod is healthy, mature and beautiful Kentucky Bluegrass, which is the most resilient for our climate to enjoy year after year. Kentucky Bluegrass is used on many NFL and MLB fields due to it’s appearance and ability to stand up to tough wear.
Our sod requires no special care except watering, mowing and regular fertilizing. There are no weeds to battle, no reseeding, bare spots or washouts and no scruffy thin growth for months that you experience with seeding.
